- Officers used Flock to stalk people — 16+ documented cases. Police chiefs, officers, and detectives used the system to track ex-partners — one queried a plate 228 times in four months, another 179 times in two months. Most cases surfaced only when victims came forward, not through any internal oversight. Institute for Justice
- Class action lawsuit — February 2026. California drivers sued Flock for illegally sharing movement data with out-of-state agencies in violation of state privacy law. Courthouse News
- Congress opened an investigation. Reps. Krishnamoorthi and Garcia launched a formal inquiry into Flock's surveillance practices and their impact on vulnerable communities. ACLU
- 30+ cities dropped Flock. After a misconfiguration exposed local camera data to unauthorized outside access, over 30 jurisdictions cancelled their contracts. El Estoque
- Austin and Denver rejected Flock contracts. Austin didn't renew ("Austin should not be participating in mass surveillance programs"). Denver's council voted unanimously against it. EFF
